Dr. Melvin C. Ray - [ Associate Vice President for Economic Development ]
Message from the Associate Vice President for Economic Development
Mississippi State University is actively engaged in efforts to help grow the economy of the state. The primary role of the economic development program is to strengthen collaborations between the university, economic development organizations, and businesses to create high wage jobs. Our scope of work includes assisting existing businesses, recruiting technology oriented companies, and encouraging spin-off companies from the university. We are also facilitating the development and expansion of the Thad Cochran Research, Technology and Economic Development Park. The park is located adjacent to the Mississippi State University campus and provides an ideal environment for research and technology based companies.
