12/3/15 - Proposals sought for international working group grant program

The International Institute at Mississippi State is requesting proposals from faculty and research and extension staff interested in creating interdisciplinary, cross-college international working groups at MSU. Grants will be awarded up to $2,500 and have a 12-month duration.

The main goal of this competitive program is to encourage interdisciplinary international research among MSU faculty. To be eligible for funding, the proposal should be centered on a specific, internationally-oriented research or outreach theme. The working group must include a minimum of three members, and at least two colleges must be represented.

A secondary goal of the program is to expand and catalyze established international partnerships. An additional $2,500 may be requested if the interdisciplinary working group includes faculty or research staff from one of the universities or international organizations identified on the International Institute website at: http://international.msstate.edu/research/intranet/index.php. You will be prompted to log in with your MSU netID and password to access this information.

Additional information and an application form can be found at http://international.msstate.edu/research/IWGGP/IWGGP.pdf.

To apply please submit an application packet to Shauncey Hill at shill@international.msstate.edu. All documents should be combined into a single electronic file and emailed to her no later than Dec. 15.

An International Institute committee will review all submissions. Please direct questions to shill@international.msstate.edu.
