About this event

Dr. Andrew Mackin will present "Clinical Research at the Animal Health Center". Dr. Mackin is Head of the Department of Clinical Sciences at the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine.

Not all important medical research is confined to a benchtop. Nor is it always focused specifically on human health. Many pets are considered by their owners to be vital members of their family. We are always searching for ways to improve the health of these important family members. Much of the clinical research at the Animal Health Center is focused on addressing specific health concerns that arise during our care of individual patients such as dogs, cats, and horses. Dr. Mackin will summarize some of the interesting, important and current research conducted by our clinicians which has an emphasis on improving the care of individual pets.
